What is Reiki?

Reiki is administered through the hands of the practitioner to the client while the client is fully clothed either lying on a massage table or sitting in a chair.  The room will typically have low lighting and relaxing music playing in the background.  A session usually lasts 45 minutes to an hour and shorter treatments are also possible.  Many clients describe a warmth in and around their body during a treatment as well as experiencing a deep sense of relaxation and peace.

Reiki, pronounced (Ray-key), is a Japanese technique used for stress reduction, relaxation and healing. It literally translates into Rei-spiritual wisdom and Ki- life energy, or spiritually guided life energy.  Reiki energy flows from the hands of the practitioner into the client's body and aura.  Reiki helps to increase a person's supply of life energy.
